Social AID Women’s Chapter aims to work for the welfare of women through: i) economic empowerment; ii) promotion of women's human rights; iii) education; and iv) health. Social AID collaborates with partners nationally and globally for the empowerment of women through providing and creating sustainable economic opportunities with specific references to oppressed, poor and minority women. This is done through an integrated approach at Social AID by promoting Women's Human Rights for equality and freedom through legal reform and system change in view of the provisions of CEDAW (convention on elimination of all types of discrimination against women). The key in doing that is stimulating change by empowering through raising literacy amongst women in general and by lobbying and advocacy for education to young girls coupled with provision of affordable health facilities to women and children.
